Regarding inflation, the forecasts are also positive. A downward trend is expected, with inflation decreasing to 5.61%, still far from the ideal three percentage points but not hovering around the 10% mark reached in previous months.

However, this contrasts with the GDP growth forecasts, as the central bank expects it to be 1.2% in 2024.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs broke its silence regarding the electoral situation in Venezuela. Minutes after Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado spoke at a press conference about the impossibility of registering the candidacy of Corina Yoris within the stipulated deadline for the elections on July 28, the Foreign Ministry issued a press release expressing its concern.

The statement reported that between March 23 and 25, President Gustavo Petro and acting Foreign Minister Luis Gilberto Murillo held communications and conducted diplomatic efforts to urge the parties in Venezuela to comply with the Barbados Agreement, of which Colombia has been an observer and supporter.
